Well, if you know me, you should know how much I love this country. I am a true Canadian patriot
and I wish that more
Canadians felt my passion. How could you ask for more? We have hand gun prohibition, low crime levels, medical care,
countless services, and most of all 30 million smiling, polite, well mannered people. Sure, you could say that Canadians are "too laid back"
and "Canadians can't compete with the rest of the aggressive world". I am glad of the fact that I am not living amongst aggression and rebellion life the rest of the world that
is trying to live here. I don't have a problem with immigration, in fact with the exception of the natives we are all decendants of immigrants. The only thing that tends to irritate me
is the fact that today's immigrants generally don't have a tendency to embrace this great nation wholly like our forefathers did. Representing a former heritage is one thing but what ever happened to
flaunting our citizenship rather than our ancestry? If you don't own a Canadian Flag, get one. If you don't own a Tragically Hip or Barenaked Ladies album, get one. Root for all of the Canadian teams
and root for the fact that they are still surviving in the Americanized sports leagues. I hope that this small editorial gives you something to think about
when people ask you, "What is your nationality?".
